After Adam Peace be Upon Him

Adam and Eve and their descendants lived on earth, worshipping God, surrendering to Him, and applying His law

Religion since the creation of Adam peace be upon him is Islam in the sense of surrender to God alone and faith that there is no idol for the right but God

And here I would like to clarify an important point because some think that religion was different according to the different messengers, and this is a big mistake

The Almighty said

Certainly, Allah’s only Way is Islam.1 Those who were given the Scripture did notdispute ˹among themselves˺ out of mutual envy until knowledge came to them.2 Whoever denies Allah’s signs, then surelyAllah is swift in reckoning.

(Al-Imran19)

The religion of God is Islam since the creation of Adam until the Day of Resurrection, and God does not accept any other religion

So how did religion change?

God Almighty created human beings by nature weak, and although the Almighty distinguished us by our brains, our minds, no matter how much knowledge in them, are still very limited and can only understand what God has destined it to understand

Also we humans cannot organize ourselves and our lives without legislation and a ruling system that organizes and coordinates everything in the universe for us

This is evident to us in our daily lives. We all have difficulty organizing our work and schedules although that is only for ourselves as individuals. Look at parents how much they suffer for family planning and putting laws in it when it does not exceed 4-5 members.

What about organizing all human beings on earth?

It is God's mercy and kindness to us that He prescribed for us a method and a system that suits us. He who knows us and our qualities, weaknesses and strengths. There is no doubt that the legislation and system established by our Creator is not superseded by any other legislation.

Our father Adam and mother Eve and their sons and descendants applied Islam (in its meaning from the beginning till the end of creation) in the way that God prescribed for them at that time.

And here I want to clarify that the legislation of practicing Islam was different at different times on earth

as an example at the time of Adam peace be upon him there was no legislation to pray five times a day the way we pray today.

This order started the time of Our prophet Muhammad peace be upon him at the time of his mission and was prescribed for people at that time till the Day of Resurrection

And we note here that God did not descend or legislate an order except with all its details mentioned accurately and the conclusion of his law, which was revealed by the Qur'an and Sunnah is proportional to all nations and times from the era of our Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him until the Day of Resurrection, the Qur'an is comprehensive for all possibilities, suitable for all ages since it was revealed and preserved from the Lord of the worlds until the Day of Judgment.

The Almighty said

It is certainly We Who have revealedthe Reminder, and it is certainly We Who will preserve it.

(Al-Hijr 9)

I go back to the talk about the descendants of Adam and Eve, the first of creation. They continued to apply Islam as prescribed by God for them at that time, and many years passed, the earth was populated by God's command, people multiplied and became tribes and groups, and nations were formed.

When Allah created Adam (peace be upon him), He revealed to him before any of the children were born. and He taught him what he and his children need in their excistance on earth

From that period (the era of Adam (peace be upon him) God sent many messengers and prophets.

By God's command, he transmits the messages to the messengers so that they may know to teach people about it and command them to worship God,

The religion of God was then the only religion practiced on earth, and from that point on the responsibility on people to carry until the Day of Resurrection arose.

It was narrated from the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) when Abu Dhar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked him about the Prophets and Messengers:

(... I said: O Messenger of Allah, how many prophets? He said: (One hundred thousand and twenty thousand), I said: O Messenger of Allah, how many of the Messengers are there? He said: (Three hundred and thirteen) He said: I said: O Messenger of Allah, who was the first of them? He said: (Adam)

I said: O Messenger of Allah, is a prophet sent? He said: "Yes, God created it with His hand and breathed into it of his soul and spoke to him before), and then he said: (O Abba Dharr, four Syriacs: Adam

Seth and Enoch, who is Idris, who was the first to write with the pen, and Noah, and four of Arabs: Hood, Shuaib, Saleh and your Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), I said: O

The Messenger of Allah, how many books did Allah reveal?, he
Said: (One hundred books and four books were revealed to Sheth fifty folios ...)

What is the difference between a messenger and a prophet?

The difference between the Prophet and the Messenger in Islam is that God sent the messenger with a message and a new law (to apply Islam), while the Prophet is the one who received revelation from God to call for the worship of God according to one of the methods or laws that God revealed to His Messengers before.

How does God choose the messengers and prophets?

God's selection and choice of messengers and prophets was based on a number of qualities, God's messengers and prophets are

the best of mankind, the most obedient to God, the most self-righteous and content, the most rational of them, and the quickest people believing in God, the Almighty said: (Allah knows best where to place His message) (Al-An'am 124),

God has provided the prophets with knowledge that only they can know, the Almighty said: (˹He is the˺ Knower of the unseen, disclosing none of it to anyone,) ,except messengers of His choice. Then He appoints angel-guards before and behind them) (Al-Jinn 26-27)

Then he preserved them and secured them from human beings, and his protection and security surrounded them.

The Almighty said: (Peace be upon the messengers)(Al-Saffat 181),

He also made them the source of guidance, and set a good example and example in them.

The righteous, the Almighty says: (Those who are guided by Allah, and by their guidance He imitated Him)

Why did God send the messengers?

God Almighty created human beings by natural weakness, although the Almighty distinguished them by brains, but they are not able with that human mind to know all truth from falsehood, and they are unable to worship their Lord in a way that pleases Him and cannot organize themselves and their lives without legislation and a ruling system that organizes and coordinates everything in the universe for them.

He did not send messengers to invite people to worship him only, as he is indispensable for them, he is able to make them worship him all together, but it was necessary to direct human beings and guide them to unite their Lord, and not to engage with him anything else in whorship (shirk), for which the messengers were sent, and the messages were revealed, that caused the conflicts of the messengers and prophets with their people and nations, it is the basis of the call of the prophets and messengers, and the first step of the road, and the most important duty for every muslim until the day of his death, for which God Almighty created his creation.

The reasons for God Almighty sending the messengers can be summarized as follows:

Communicating religion and calling people to God

God Almighty has entrusted the Messengers with the task of communicating the entire religion to the people, to communicate it without distortion or alteration. And a statement of the commands and prohibitions, inviting them to worship and unite God Almighty, and not to shirk Him,to introduce them to the reality of worship, and order them to do what the Almighty loves and pleases, and to leave and avoid what he hates. and he urged them to obey him and not to disobey him, as the Almighty said: (We surely sent a messenger to every community, saying, “Worship Allah and shun false gods.)(Al-Nahl 36)

Establishing an argument against people

God Almighty cut off the argument against the people by sending messengers and sending down with them the verses of evidence, which indicate on their sincerity and the validity of their prophecy, so that no one from creation will protest on the Day of Resurrection

The fact that the call for monotheism (the belief that there is only one God) did not reach him, as it is one of the greatest and most important reasons for sending messengers.

God Almighty mentioned this great goal in His Holy Book said: (˹All were˺ messengers delivering good news and warnings so humanity should have no excuse before Allah after ˹the coming of˺ the messengers. And Allah is Almighty, All-Wise.) (An-Nisa 165)

Guiding people in what is good and righteous in their religion and life

Human beings, regardless of their abilities, energies and creativity, are incapable of establishing their lives with good.

And organize them so that they are cohesive and cooperative equal, so it was necessary to send messengers

to guide them and inform them of what is good and what is evil by God's command and support;

The darkness of disbelief and ignorance to the light of faith and knowledge, and the purification and reform of their souls, and their purification from

evils, teaching them their religion, and explaining the ways that lead to God Almighty, the messengers

Supporters from their God pay for people what harms them and

And advise them what works for them.

The nation gathers on one religion

If people are united in one religion, and led by one man, supported by signs and miracles, and their gathering on

a clear fixed creed, a firm faith, that makes society more cohesive, strong and cooperative, and this in turn, it leads to their goodness and the goodness of the whole community.

The people's need for the messengers

All creation needs a good example, to take it, its biography and its life as an example for it in its worship and dealings.

And his morals, and in all other areas of his life, in order to be upright on the command of God, and he preferred

God Almighty the Messengers over all other human beings, and perfected them with morals and good qualities, and protected them from desires and suspicions, as they made them among those who are fit to emulate, and human beings also need those who

he leads them, manages and organizes their affairs, so God Almighty entrusted His Messengers with the task of ruling among people.

and separation among them, and succession in the land
